• 5 month agoA good go-to place if you want to have thosai, roti canai or capati for breakfast. The typical beverages that you can get here -- teh tarik, Nescafe, bru kopi (brew coffee) and Milo, of course. If you're sitting at a table outside and the weather gets too hot or the rain is coming soon, fret not. There is a canopy that comes out automatically once it is activated. It will gradually glide and open up over your head. The price of drinks are more expensive if compared with other restaurants but the price of food is reasonable. The service is pretty prompt and usually, there is a short wait for your food or drinks to arrive at the table. It's worth mentioning that the toilet is clean.

• 5 month agoThe food here is delicious, and the rice dishes are especially affordable. I really enjoyed the variety of dishes served during tea-time, including a tempting selection of kuih. I've attached two receipts: one includes the bill for rice dishes, and the other is from a tea-time meal.

• 5 month agoGood food, good service and nice environment. The restaurant is a old school set up but it’s spacious and very clean. There’s also a air conditioned dining area and outdoor seating area. Food is very good. The ghee tosai is superb with its many gravy and condi to go with. Mutton curry is also one of the best in PJ. The pasumpal brew coffee here is also awesome. Stuff are working very effectively and price is reasonable. Highly recommended!

• 5 month agoRevisit May24: Had roti canai and fresh milk brew coffee on weekday 7am. Was surprised to find a yummy crispy flaky roti canai and piping hot dhal curries. Food came very fast, and there’s already a crowd in the morning. The price is unbeatable, RM2 for roti canai and RM4.40 for Fresh milk brew coffee. Satisfied. Previous visit: Reached around 730am on a weekday and there’s already customers enjoying their breakfast. Parking was still okay, though situated in a housing area. The restaurant was spacious, there’s two spaces available to choose. However, staff weren’t very friendly. Had to walk over the counter to order after waiting for awhile. Food arrived pretty fast. The Chappati was cold however, pretty disappointing though taste was normal. The Appom was freshly made, pretty big and fluffy. The dhal and curries were pretty diluted, slightly disappointing. The chutney was sticky and have a glue-like consistency, pretty odd for me. The Teh tarik was alright, it’s smooth and the waiter followed the order, making it no sugar, so it was not sweet. Overall, it’s an okay meal, not the best one. But the price was darn cheap! Two person for RM10?! Each item was RM2 on average. Would come back to try their banana leaf as they’re famous for it.

• 6 month agoIt's a nice place to catch up over a meal or tea time with friends. It's not a high-end place. Good to hang around. The food is quite good. The fried items with coffee can be refreshing after a busy day's work. Vege options are there. The service is pretty good as well. They are prompt and helpful. The ambience is good. The place is clean and well maintained. The inner portion of the seating area is better. The payment can be made by cash or QR. Parking is not very difficult. The nearby housing area is there where cars can be parked for a short time.

• 7 month agoCome here between the brunch and lunch period if you plan on getting seated at a table here with quick service. The staffers here all try their best all the time which is great although the occasional mid day lunch crowd can still overwhelm especially during the long Friday luncheon breaks. A quick drop in for a snack of their regular plain dosai and some fresh cow's milk Bru coffee was a wonderful pick-me-up just before lunch and the place was still relatively sedate. Service was quick and there were enough crew at hand to move things around quickly almost like clockwork. The stewed lentil dhalls and fresh chutneys are still very very good when eaten with freshly made dosai. Just dropped in for a snack before heading on my way out to town. Highly recommended.

• 7 month agosolid good banana leaf rice. has changed names several times over the years, but still pulls nonetheless. also offers full spectrum of breads. paniyaram and uttapam, both in multiple savoury flavours, being particularly good. and three types of chutney, to boot. this place is traditional top perch on street. which has always been competitive when it comes to indian. and folk here generally top out over snootier neighbours.
